Basic units are the bread and butter of a successful strategist. Even though they do not share the flashy exclusive abilities their Gods and Heroes counterparts have, their purpose is held at the same height. With simpler mechanics, they compensate for much lower summoning costs, which will make setting them up on the battlefield a much faster endeavor.

These units are meant to pave the way for the arrival and proper performance of Gods and Heroes, by shaping how the battlefield is laid. Positioning is key, so make sure to make good use of chokepoints to limit enemy movement, protect flanks and hinder core enemy units positioning.
